Colio Estate Winery Tour

Welcome to the world of Colio Estate Wines, a tradition of award-winning viticulture and winemaking that blends experience, modern innovation and a palpable passion. This passion is reflected in every product that we make and it is this passion that defines us.

When we first opened our doors in 1980, we were recipients of the first winery license in the region since prohibition. This rekindled a viticultural interest in what was once the largest grape growing area in the country and led to the establishment of the Lake Erie North Shore as a VQA designated viticultural area.

There is nothing quite like experiencing firsthand what we refer to as "Southern Hospitality." A trip to Canada's most southern region and our winery will reveal an inherent warmth and friendliness that is unique to this pastoral wine country and the local folk.

Hours of Operation:
May 1 to December 24: Monday to Saturday; 10 am to 6 pm - Sunday; 11 am to 5 pm
December 27 to April 30: Monday to Saturday; 10 am to 5 pm - Sunday; 11 am to 5 pm
Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday

Samba Days tours available by appointment only:
Summer Season: By appointment at 2 pm daily
Winter Season: By appointment between 12 noon and 4 pm daily

Minimum age required: 19 years of age

What to bring: Warm clothes (wine cellars can be chilly)

When to arrive: 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour

Cancellation policy: 48 hours notice

In the event that the scheduled tour is cancelled due to safety issues, Samba Days visitors will still receive their tasting flight of four selected wines and 2 bottles of selected wine (as listed). In addition you will receive a complimentary tour card for two, allowing you to return for a tour of the facility at another time.
