Tandem Hang Gliding

Hang gliding is a fantastic dream come true! You can enjoy two spectacular flights or you and a friend can share the experience by enjoying one discovery flight each.

The experience begins with a winch-tow to approximately 1000 feet from flat ground on a tandem glider with a certified instructor. Upon release, float freely and bird-like back to a gentle landing on wheels.

Surrounded by 30,000 empty, scenic acres, the view is breathtaking. You can see Lake Ontario immediately and then Lake Scugog and sometimes Lake Simcoe.

The feeling of freedom is wonderful. The experience is relaxing and secure, more like yoga than an extreme sport. Even people who are "afraid of heights" love it.

Please book by phone at least 48 hours in advance of your desired day and time. You will be required to state your approximate weight. A booking fee is charged for cancellations.

On the day of the flights, please call before leaving to confirm the weather and that the flight is still going ahead as planned. If you get an answering machine, please leave word you're coming (or not).

* Standard liability release waivers must be signed.

* There is no age limit; however, parents must sign for minors.

* The acceptable weight range is from 60 to 240 pounds.

* Wear warm clothes as it's cooler up in the air. Glasses or sunglasses are recommended.

* Harness and helmet are provided.

* Weather permitting, flights are available 7 days a week from April until November (and occasionally in the winter).

* Allow 30 minutes for each person.

NOTE: There is no guarantee regarding the length of your actual flight. Factors such as wind strength, direction and thermals, as well as total weight of participants, etc. can affect the length of your flight from take-off to landing.
