Fishers' Loft Inn

While staying at the Fishers' Loft Inn during the filming of The Shipping News, Dame Judi Dench remarked that this must have been like Cornwall in England 100 years ago. That says it all.

The inn is nestled on a hillside overlooking the North Atlantic. From your room and the dining room, view seaside meadows and woods, friendly people, breathtaking coastal walks and hikes and the comings and goings of boats in the harbour below the inn. You may see a great whale, a bald eagle soaring overhead or a majestic iceberg in the cove.
