Kite Boarding - ON

Come and enjoy a kite-boarding lesson at Mitchell's Bay on Lake St.Clair - one of North America's premier beginner spots!

With its shallow, protected, clear water, Mitchell's Bay has the longest warm-water season in Canada and is home to several top Canadian kite-boarders.

Tim Blanchard, Surf Culture Canada's head instructor, has been kiting for 11 years and was Canada's first certified instructor and professional rider.

This experience will teach you the fundamentals of this intense and highly addictive sport. You will start on a small trainer kite to learn the basics, then move up to a large inflatable kite. Water relaunching, power control and harness use are the skills that you will develop during this time.
